From The Lion King to The King of Kings
Davy Liu faced academic struggles during his childhood but found success when hired by Walt Disney Animation Studios. He contributed to major animated films like “The Lion King,” “Mulan,” “Aladdin,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” However, after working on “Star Wars,” he felt a calling to leave his dream job to serve God using his gifts. This led to the creation of Kendu Films in Los Angeles, where he produces fresh, innovative, Christ-centered content for children. His award-winning bible picture books will soon become animated feature films that will have a everlasting impact.

Reaching the Heart of Your Child
Based on Ginger’s best-selling book, Don’t Make Me Count to Three! There is far more to parenting than getting children to “act” right. We have to get them to “think” right and to be motivated out of a love of virtue rather than a fear of punishment. Ginger equips parents to reach past the outward behavior of their children and address the issues of the heart. Move beyond the frustrations of not knowing how to handle issues of disobedience and into a confident approach to raising your children.

The Battle of Discontentment
There is a place deep in a woman’s heart that is aching for more. We try to fill that space with marriage, babies, homeschooling, friends, things, trends, social media, activities, etc. But even after acquiring all of these things, our hearts can feel empty, unsettled, and we begin to continue to look for the next thing that will bring satisfaction. Sometimes, our expectations can set us up for disappointment and further heartache. How can I get out of this rut? Through the lense of Scripture let's take a step back, allow the Truth of God’s Word to transform our thinking, and find true contentment on the other side.

How to Teach your Child Anything
After working as teachers at home and in more formal settings for over 60 combined years, we have learned a few tricks of the trade to teach a new skill to your child. This is so much more than simply telling your child something new, and he or she magically grasps it. There is a process that we teach parents that will work in any setting. How to read, math, science and social studies, of course. But it also works when teaching a child how to tie a shoe, cook something, or even developing character traits. You will leave with a real plan that can be put into place immediately.

George Orwell vs. Aldous Huxley, Which One Rightly Predicted the Future, or Neither?
Orwell (Eric Blair) and Huxley are probably the most quoted novelists of the 20th Century. Their personal experiences informed their imaginations of what the future would look like. In the past 20 years historians, political pundits, and cultural “influencers” have popularized the books of these two men, and our culture seems to have proven them prophetic in certain ways. I will look at their basic presuppositions and hold them up to biblical scrutiny.

Teaching a Biblical Worldview to the Next Generation
In these increasingly unbiblical times, how are Christian parents and grandparents to fulfill their God-given responsibility to teach a Christian worldview to the next generation? Your Child's Future Marriage: How Can We Prepare Them to Thrive?
When the time is right, you want your child to approach dating and marriage with clarity, confidence, and courage. But in today's culture the path to marriage is clouded by sexual brokenness, unrealistic expectations, confusion, and fear. Even in the church. The result: young people are marrying later and later. Or never. In fact, only 17% of adults 25-34 are married today.

This is why we're called to change the mind of the culture about the biblical meaning, purpose, and significance of marriage, and why in this session we want to empower you to inspire and lead your child to understand, prepare for, and discern God's calling in marriage. WIll offer practical tips for discussing sex and dating with your child.

The Power of Stories to Teach Life Lessons… When a Sermon Just Isn’t Cutting It
Ever pondered the profound impact stories have on our lives? Consider Jesus's timeless parables — narratives told centuries ago yet still shaping us and guiding our actions today. Sometimes, we just need to be told a story.

In this engaging and kid-friendly workshop, award-winning young adult author CJ Milacci invites parents to recognize the power of storytelling and its capacity to impart life lessons to their kids while directing them towards God. Through exploring how God Himself has used stories to connect with His children, CJ illustrates the profound impact narratives can have in shaping our spiritual journey. Join us as we uncover the power of stories and discover how these narratives serve as vessels for truth, empathy, and spiritual growth.

Our grandparents were bombarded with Christian values in a world firmly grounded on faith and family. Our parents were a part of a cultural revolution in which faith became laughable and families were disassembled on a wholesale basis. Learn why nurturing Biblical Discernment is an essential life skill for any parent hoping to navigate the treacherous cultural waters of the 21st century.

Books as Mirrors, Windows, and Sliding Glass Doors
When children are unable to see themselves reflected in their schoolbooks, they fail to develop positive feelings of self-worth. And when they lack occasions to examine similarities and differences between themselves and others, they miss out on valuable opportunities for recognizing the shared humanity that binds all people together. A mirror is a story that reflects your own culture and helps build your identity, a window is a resource that offers you a view into someone else’s experience, and a sliding glass door invites you to enter another’s world. In this session, we will examine the use of all three types of books in our homes as we educate our children while embracing their individuality and honoring others.

What if we were never meant to effortlessly be: patient, kind, wise, or good at teaching fractions? What if the areas in which we find ourselves lacking are a gift from the Lord to force more reliance on Him as we parent & home educate? As counter-cultural as these questions are & as much as they may chafe on the days when an IV of patience feels like it might be the only thing that could get us through reading practice with our six-year-old, the truth is the challenges we face as homeschooling parents really are the best kind of hard—the kind that drives us to the foot of the cross.

Teen Creative Writing Workshop - Kids Add-On Class
Do you have a teen who enjoys writing fiction? Or maybe one that doesn’t like writing at all? We’re here to help them ignite their love of storytelling.

Many teens fall in love with writing when they can choose their own story ideas and write about concepts that matter to them. In this workshop, students will not only learn how to craft a standout novel from award-winning authors Tricia Goyer and Kara Swanson, but also receive personal feedback on their story concept.

The class will cover how to craft:
· Sympathetic characters
· Gripping plot twists
· Resonant themes
· And more!

In addition to receiving individualized feedback, students will emerge from the workshop with a solid novel concept that carries deeper truths they’re genuinely excited to write.

The Young Writer is a Christian organization that equips young writers in their teens and twenties to change the world with their words. Over the past six years, we’ve taught thousands of writers to write more, improve their craft, and glorify God with their writing.

This program is for 13-18 year olds.

Leaving a Legacy: Homeschooling for Generational Benefit
As a 2nd generation homeschool mom, I can attest to the many benefits I reaped from parents who said “No” to social pressure, disapproval, & the “easier” traditional education. Yes, some of our struggles were multiplied, But our blessings were also by Mom’s steady presence in our home & Dad’s dogged commitment to keep her there. Perhaps your struggles are different, but we will all face unique challenges when we choose to walk the countercultural road of homeschooling. Be encouraged that your efforts are not in vain and can, in fact, continue to bring generational blessings for years to come.

Navigating The High School Years - You Can Do It!
If you have children approaching high school age (or are already there), no doubt you have had moments of confusion or even fear regarding courses, documentation, career preparation and college. After all, we are fine with the idea of unit studies, field trips and student-led education when they are in elementary school and middle school, but we tell ourselves that high school COUNTS, and we feel we need to conform to what other students are doing or our kids will be unprepared. There is no need to fear! This workshop will address the biggest questions regarding high school, including how to choose courses that will best meet your children’s needs, electives and internships, how to help assess strengths and giftedness, how standardized tests fit into the equation, and the easy process of building a transcript. You will leave this workshop with some practical direction and ideas to implement into your homeschool immediately!

We want to get things done. We want our days to be productive. Deep down, we always want to get all those items on our to-do list checked off, which rarely happens. The passage in Ephesians 5:15-16 reminds us to walk wisely and make the best use of time in these evil days. As we explore using our time wisely in these challenging times, we will discuss how to glorify God through our daily productivity. We will also examine how being productive helps us focus on eternity and fulfill our responsibilities as Christians.

Homeschooling Different Kids Differently
Just as every home is different, so are our children. And not every child or teen will or should be homeschooled the same way. This Workshop will lean into the various personalities, learning styles and how to homeschool every child differently - at the same time.
September will not spend a lot of time on one specific area; this workshop will not be centrally focused on learning disabilities - but, how to teach different (personalities, learning styles,) differently.
As a mom to ten children, I have homeschooled ten different childtren, ten different ways- but all at the same time. We will not spend a lot of time on one specific area; this workshop will not focus on learning disabilities - but, how to teach different (personalities, learning styles,) children, differently. We will touch on a few areas that may be central to ADD/ADHD and sensory learning, but because of time, we will focus on homeschooling the heart of a child, not squashing their personalities, embracing their differences, and creating a culture of learning for everyone.

Capturing the heart of your child through the words you speak and how our words impact their identity
It’s easy in the midst of our days, when attention may be divided among multiple children or many to-do’s (plus homeschool), to let our words be the last thing we think about. But they shouldn’t be. The Bible has a lot to say on how we are to guard our tongue and use it to speak life. Proverbs 18:21 says “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” If you, like me and the rest of the world have ever had moments where your words got the better of you- especially to your kids, then this is going to be a time of practical and Biblical encouragement.

Homeschooling: Purpose or Performance?
We all have clear reasons that we decided to homeschool, but as we continue on this journey, the lines can become blurred. Debunking Seven Myths
When your student goes off to college—even to some Christian colleges—they will be subjected to seven false teachings or “myths” about the Bible. These teachings sometimes challenges students’ faith to the core! Some of these myths include: parts of the Bible are not real, Dinosaurs aren’t in the Bible and died out millions of years ago, and Noah’s flood was taken from Eastern religions (just to name a few).
In this talk we will overview just why these Biblical teachings are important and how you can ground your student in understanding them so they are equipped before leaving for college.
